Travel Tips 101:
Internet Bookings
With the growth and expansion of the internet, more and more
travel options are available online. But not everything out there is as good as
it seems. Booking directly to the service provider's site offers you the best
protection. Third party vendors may or may not be offering up-to-the-minute
inventory or specials. In the worst case, they may not even be authorized to
represent the travel partner you are trying to book. Buyer beware.

Airfare
Check for restrictions, penalties, and refund policies.
If using a third party service, verify how tickets will be delivered and if
any service charges apply. |

Hotels
Most major chains have their own website with reservation capability.
However, discounted rates may not be available via the 'Net.
Check for restrictions, penalties, and refund policies.
If using a third party service, verify how reservation will be paid and how
you will receive your confirmation. Also, verify how your special requests,
such as nonsmoking or handicap accessible rooms, are handled. |
