Why I want a Pet Human
by
Kathleen A Klatte
I have the honor to be owned by two beautiful charming and sophisticated Siamese
kittens. I often wish that I had a Pet Human to care for all my needs.
I
want a Pet Human who will provide a constant supply of fresh, cold water and
tasty snack food. I want a Pet Human who will also provide wholesome, nutritious
meals upon demand. My Pet Human must understand that I require variety in my
diet; treats and gourmet cuisine should be included on every shopping list. As well, I
am very curious, and will sample anything placed on the kitchen table.
I want a Pet Human who will provide amusement for me. While weekly infusions
of new toys are appreciated, my Pet Human
must understand that I find many other activities stimulating. Draperies and
furniture should be strategically placed for my climbing pleasure. I want a Pet
Human who will spare no expense to keep me happily diverted; even to the extent
of providing one of those dopey, furry things (I believe they are called dogs)
for me to play with.
I want a Pet Human who will see to my health and medical needs. I want a Pet
Human who will provide for my grooming and sanitation as well. I want a Pet
Human for will realize that my well being is much more important than the
condition of any mere household furnishings.
I want a Pet Human who will recognize that my eighteen
hours of sleep are interspersed with bouts of intense activity; my Pet Human
must always be ready to assist me in whatever capacity necessary. I want a Pet
Human who will let me nap on his or her lap, pounce on his or her feet, and
perch on his or her shoulder. In short, I want a Pet Human who will realize that
I am the Absolute Center of Creation.
Don't you want a Pet Human too?
