Travel Humor
and Other Funny Stuff
All of us, at one time or another, have experienced or will
experience a mishap while traveling. It happens.
At the time, you may feel more frustration than humor. But depending on how you
handle the situation can be the difference between a vacation nightmare and an
amusing anecdote to share at cocktail parties for years to come.
The USA Today recently
did a story on travel mishaps. I chuckled over a story told by a Delta pilot.
Seems he made a rather hard landing on arrival at Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport.
They bounced several times on touch down. As the plane came to a stop at the end
of the runway, the pilot came on the intercom to apologize for the rough
landing. "Sorry about that ladies and gentlemen. But I'm proud to report
that the momma bunny and all her little bunnies made it safely across the
runway." The cabin was filled with applause. The pilot came back on the
intercom. "And for those of you who were with me when we landed in Orlando,
you see there was this momma deer and her fawn..."
Your attitude can make a difference. Your vacation should be an
adventure. Document everything, and make sure you get the pictures to prove it.
You never know when you'll need to blackmail someone.
